A little bit about me
I am a highly successful and innovative leader in product design principals, with a proven track record for building teams with strong culture and proven skills to drive business and personal goals.
I am currently Director of Product Design at Red Ventures, leading a team of product designers across multiple businesses focused on personal finance.
What makes teams successful
In my many years in the design field, what I have found is that leaders each have their own style and definition of leadership. Mine is built off of trust, respect, compassion, transparency, radical candor, and a few other "secret ingredients". My methods have been highly successful and have built many successful teams and leaders.
Leadership
I have a proven track record of building and maintaining successful design teams. Through mentorship and fostering a high level of morale, my current teams are all top performers. There are no "soft" skills when it comes to building a team. All skills are important and contribute equally.
Tools
Being a hands-on leader, I'm always researching innovative and current tools to bring to my team to elevate the process and output.

Whether I get the team together to facilitate a 3 day co-creation, persona workshop, discuss a user testing plan with research, or simply a brainstorming session, this is the area that truly excites me! Any time I can get Product, Research, Engineering and Content together is a good day.

My current focus is on people management and team design OPS. As director, I'm in charge of growing talent and maintaining a strong cultured team. Managing entire project lifespans through Agile SCRUM, Stakeholder interviews, Lead brainstorming sessions, A/B Testing, Produce UI/UX Wireframes, Prototypes (high and low fidelity), detailed mocks via Figma. Whether it's facilitating co-creations, focusing on team process tools or cross team dynamics, I'm always thinking of how we can work more efficiently and effectively going forward.

Fullstack web designer/developer. I not only was lead designer of a small team, but we were also responsible for writing all HTML/CSS/ASP and inserting logic trees.
Director of Multimedia | Audio & Video Specialist
My focus was moving the company forward technologically. Moving film, onto a digital media and web. Interactive CD-Rom's, Flash presentations and dynamic web experiences. I also was a video editor and motion graphics specialist.
